Creating a Pleasant Work Environment

Safety and Health Activities Policy

Our Safety and Health Activities Policy is to “eliminate all workplace hazards and harmful factors through participation by all employees, achieve zero occupational accidents, and create a safe and comfortable work environment where employees can work with peace of mind. In addition, through the promotion of traffic safety campaigns and thorough education, we aim to achieve zero traffic accidents.” We are committed to maintaining safe, comfortable workplaces that consider the physical and mental well-being of all employees.

● Safety and Health Activities

We have established a Safety and Health Committee based on the Industrial Safety and Health Act to promote occupational safety and health activities. The committee meets monthly to research, deliberate, and plan necessary measures for safety and health and safe driving management. Committee members also conduct workplace safety patrols to help eliminate occupational accidents and improve working conditions. Our internal Safety and Health website is updated monthly with accident statistics and details of specific incidents to raise awareness and promote safety across the Company. As measures to prevent traffic accidents, we conduct driving aptitude tests and promote awareness through safe driving seminars. At our factories, we also conduct basic lifesaving training courses to equip employees with emergency first aid skills.

Promotion of Mental Healthcare

In order to help address emotional health problems, we provide stress assessments to check mental health, as well as consultation services by phone, on the web, and in person. Additionally, a mental health stress check is conducted for all employees every year. In FY2024, we provided feedback training on the results of stress check organizational analysis, with a focus on management.

Towards more flexible working styles

To allow employees to work flexibly according to their working style, in addition to introducing a super flex time system and at-home work system, scheduled paid leave-taking system, nursing care system, and other systems, we have also made other improvements such as establishing “everyone leaves work together” days (no overtime days).

Labor‐Management Relations

We maintain healthy labor-management relations with the labor union based on mutual trust and under a labor agreement, and work on various labor-management issues on an equal-to-equal basis. We also hold monthly labor-management meetings to exchange information and opinions.

Welfare Benefits

In order to respond to the diverse needs of our employees and with the aim to provide a more equitable welfare service, we have introduced the "Cafeteria Plan," a selective employee welfare system whose options can be chosen by the employees according to their own needs. A diverse menu, which includes categories such as childcare, nursing, learning, and travel, presents available discount services and more.
Also, in order to encourage employees to build their own assets, the company offers a fixed-rate incentive based on the amount of money they put away in their asset accumulation savings plans as well as on members' contributions for the employee stock holding association.
The company has also introduced a GLTD (Group Long Term Disability) system that ensures a certain level of income in the event that an employee is unable to work for a prolonged period due to illness or injury.
