Selected as a Supplier Engagement Leader, the Top Rank in the CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment for the Fourth Time in a Row
May 21, 2026
ESPEC CORP. (Head office: Kita-ku, Osaka City, President: Satoshi Arata) received the highest rating--an A score--at the FY 2025 Supplier Engagement Assessment conducted by the international NPO CDP* and was selected as a Supplier Engagement Leader for the fourth time in a row.
The CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment evaluates effective collaboration between companies and their suppliers on climate change initiatives.
ESPEC has set greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets of a 60% reduction in SCOPE 1 and 2 (in-house) emissions and a 30% reduction in SCOPE 3 (indirect) emissions by FY2030 compared to FY2019, and is promoting initiatives to address global warming and conserve biodiversity.
We request that our suppliers reduce their SCOPE 1 and 2 emissions, and we provide ongoing support--such as organizing workshops and sharing regular updates--to help them achieve these reduction goals. We also hold a supplier environmental contribution recognition program to recognize suppliers that have reduced their GHG emissions and suppliers who have received SBT certification.
In the CDP FY 2025 Climate Change Survey, we have been awarded a "B" rating--the third-highest of eight possible scores, and in the area of water security, we earned a "B-"--the fourth-highest of eight possible scores.
We will continue to work with all our stakeholders, including our suppliers, to advance these initiatives.
