May 10, 2024
ESPEC CORP. (Head office: Kita-ku, Osaka City, Representative Director and President: Satoshi Arata) has formulated the ESPEC Sustainable Procurement Guidelines in order to promote and ensure Sustainable Procurement.
As various social issues are deepening on a global scale and international society is working towards creating a sustainable society, companies will be expected to contribute to resolving the issues that society faces and to create social value. ESPEC will carry out sustainability management aimed at continual growth while creating and improving economic value and social value through our business activities.
To promote and ensure Sustainable Procurement, we have revised our Basic Policies on Procurement and formulated the ESPEC Sustainable Procurement Guidelines, which organize the items that we ask all suppliers to observe.
These guidelines consist of six sections: Human rights and labor, Safety and health, Environment, Ethics, BCP (Business Continuity Plans) and Observance of ESPEC Sustainable Procurement Guidelines.
By utilizing these guidelines, we will promote Sustainable Procurement that enhances social value by considering Human rights and labor, Safety and Health, and Environment etc. throughout the entire supply chain.
