Advanced charge/discharge temperature chambers with distinct advantages over previous systems

When performing charge/discharge tests of multiple batteries installed in the test area at the same time, deviations in temperature uniformity and heat generation of the batteries can cause changes in the battery heat history, thereby hindering evaluation.
To resolve this issue, we propose the “ADBC-Next,” which is equipped with new multi-area temperature control (patent pending).

Features

Strong support for enhanced reproducibility and accuracy of cycle characteristics and lifetime evaluation testing

Equipped with multi-area temperature control (patent pending) that enables separate temperature control of multiple areas inside the temperature chamber. This reduces temperature deviations caused by battery heat generation during charge/discharge testing, and contributes to enhanced reproducibility and accuracy of cycle characteristics and lifetime evaluation testing.

Strong support for enhanced reproducibility and accuracy of temperature characteristics testing and rated current load characteristics testing

Optional specimen temperature control of up to 6 channels allows fixed control of battery surface temperature during charge/discharge testing.
This eliminates the need to correct and adjust for temperature variation when calculating the cycle lifetime (Arrhenius plot, etc.).

Large reduction in battery surface temperature variation in low-temperature environments

Compared to previous temperature chambers, the temperature differences between batteries have been greatly reduced. (When not energized: 1/4, when energized: 1/7)
This contributes to improved test accuracy during output characteristic testing and cycle lifetime testing.

In case of fire!
Package providing multiple proven fire extinguishing devices

This package includes a CO2 fire extinguisher and intake/exhaust damper that are essential for charge/discharge tests.
When the heat detector temperature exceeds the set value, fire extinguishing agent is discharged automatically. After the CO2 fire extinguisher discharges, because the atmosphere inside the chamber is low in oxygen, the intake/exhaust damper takes in outside air to ventilate the inside of the chamber and allow safe access.
