Solar

Simulated Solar makes it possible to evaluate camera visibility, etc.

During automated driving, automotive sensor performance may not be sufficient in actual environments due to the setting sun, dusk, changing illuminance, and backlighting. The Solar module creates these factors, helping to improve product reliability.

Test category

  • Solar (Color temperature) test
  • Solar (illuminance) test
  • Solar (backlighting) test

POINT 01Two illuminance levels allow for continuous changing of the color temperature (LED)

Selectable light intensity between high and low, between clear sky and cloudy or evening sky.
Color temperature is adjustable, from daylight(white) to dusk(orange).

Solar test, color temperature: 2200K(evening)

Solar test, color temperature: 6500K(daytime)

POINT 02Portable lamps provide freely adjustable illumination (LED)

The lamp unit is mobile, allowing you to change both the horizontal and vertical positions as well as its approach angle.
A single lamp design with multiple LED chips reduce shadows from dividers in multiple lamp design.

Solar module

POINT 03Can be combined with the fog generator module

In foggy conditions, it can be difficult to recognize pedestrians in front of you. Add the setting sun or other backlighting, and visibility is even worse. The solar module can be combined with the fog generator module to create backlighting in fog for evaluation.
