Thank you for your guidance and support for our company.
Recently we have seen efforts to curb global warming taking shape in Europe, the U.S. and environmentally-advanced countries in Asia. There is much activity directed at reducing CO₂ emissions and at creating and expanding renewable energy sources. In Japan, the so-called “Green Innovation” policy for helping to realize a low-carbon society has been adopted as a national strategy, and I expect that various related initiatives will accelerate going forward.
The adoption of Green Innovation policies should foster new development and increased capital investment that will create excellent opportunities for ESPEC as the various needs for our products grow. Accordingly, we are approaching Green Innovation as a business opportunity, and shifting to a more aggressive management stance.
