Top Message (Message from the President)

To all of our stakeholders

Please allow me to I introduce myself. My name is Masaaki Ishida, and I was appointed President on April 1, 2011.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere condolences to all those who have suffered from the Great East Japan Earthquake and wishes that the affected areas may recover as quickly as possible.

As a result of this serious calamity, various issues that affect our company have come to light. Nevertheless, we have put forth our best effort to achieve our mission as a leading manufacturer providing environmental testing devices that are indispensable to the reliability of industrial products. Amidst supply chain disruptions, we have focused on the stable supply of products/services to enable our customers affected by the earthquake to achieve full operating capacity as quickly as possible. Case in point, we sent our field engineers as of the week after the earthquake to provide device/facility inspections free of charge. We also provided brochures outlining how to save energy when using our devices in consideration of the lacking power supply this summer, which were fully utilized by our customers.
This natural disaster provided us with another opportunity to realize the importance of connections and links between people and the amazing nature of the Japanese culture, which places importance on the spirit of helping each other as well as order and harmony. We at ESPEC feel that these links between people represent the fundamental concept in the relationships with our stakeholders.

The corporation is an entity that functions as a social system to support the realization of happiness of people and society. The real meaning for corporations existing in society is to continue to respond to the expectations of our stakeholders via quality value exchange. “Increased value exchangeability” is the most fundamental concept within ESPEC, and it is clearly stated throughout THE ESPEC MIND. We pledge to continue with the management of the company and all accompanying corporate activities based on this philosophy.
We will also continue to focus efforts on environmental management not only in the form of the development of energy-saving products, the reduction of CO2 emissions, and efforts in biological diversity that we have conventionally tackled, but also further strengthen the manner in which we address the recent power shortages. This will allow our company to lead green innovations via our “Environmental Creation Technology,” effectively furthering our contributions toward the realization of a sustainable society.

ESPEC vows to continue to extend all efforts to respond to the expectations of our stakeholders so we may be essential to the society of tomorrow.
