Business areas

Environmental Test Business

Environmental factors, such as temperature, humidity and vibration, can compromise the performance or service life of electronic parts and other devices used in products ranging from semiconductors to automobiles and telecommunications products. Environment testing equipment is used to analyze and assess the impact of these environmental factors on products. ESPEC technology is used in many areas of day-to-day life.
Other areas of involvement include 24-hour after-sales service, engineering for testing equipment, the design, evaluation and analysis of testing methods for customers, equipment rentals, and traceability services.

Instrumentation System Business

The electrical devices that we use contain a variety of electronic parts. The reliability of each individual part determines the overall reliability of the product. Instrumentation systems are used to produce assessment data during reliability testing of electronic parts.

Semiconductor Equipment Business

Semiconductor production lines include a burn-in process designed to detect defective products. ESPEC products are used in inspection processes on production lines for a wide range of semiconductors.

FPD Equipment Business

ESPEC products are used mainly in heat treatment processes on LCD flat panel production lines.

Other Business

We are promoting environmental engineering projects, such as forest and waterfront development and urban greening.
This business segment includes development of new businesses that can grow into future profit-earners for the company.

R&D structure

Working in harmony with the Earth to create new possibilities for the future

ESPEC is dedicated to the creation of enhanced social environments and a better future in harmony with the environment. It has worked to turn this vision into reality by developing innovative products based on its core technology, including its knowledge of environmental development. In addition to its environment-friendly technologies, including energy conservation, CFC recovery and product recycling, ESPEC also carries out research relating to environmental improvement. It will continue to respond directly and actively to customer needs in these areas through the development of innovative element technologies and products.

Quality assurance structure

Responding to customer needs through original approaches to quality assurance

Equipment supplied by ESPEC is used in reliability testing, which is a core element of the increasingly important area of quality assurance activities. In keeping with its role in this area, ESPEC takes great care with quality assurance for its own products. Its approach, known as ”ESPEC Quality Assurance“ (EQA), has been implemented both in Japan and overseas. ESPEC has also established quality assurance systems based on the ISO9001 system as part of its continuing efforts to ensure optimal quality.

Introduction of International (ISO) Standards

ISO9001 Accreditation

The rapid globalization of business activities has been paralleled by the growing importance of quality management and quality assurance internationalization in the business sector. ESPEC is working to harmonize its standards and certification systems to facilitate the international distribution of its products. Of particular importance in this context is the ISO9000 series of quality assurance standards, which was established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 1987. These standards have been adopted as national standards in many countries.

On December 28, 1993, ESPEC was the first company in the environmental testing equipment industry to be granted ISO9001 registration by Japan Standards Association (JSA). Since then it has undergone renewal inspections at three-yearly intervals and has continually improved its quality systems.
